How do clients book with me?

Clients can book online from your public page at taperfy.co/yourname, or from your shop page if you are on a shop plan. They pick a service and time slot, then confirm. If you require a deposit, they pay it during checkout. You get a notification and the appointment shows on your calendar right away.

How do I handle walk-in clients?

Accepted Answer

You can add them yourself or let them book on their phone. To add a walk-in yourself, open your calendar, tap +, and enter the client name, service, and time. No deposit is required for bookings you create manually. For clients at the chair, download your shop QR code from Settings, then Shop, and display it in your shop. Clients scan it, choose a service and time on their phone, and confirm like any other online booking.

Do clients get notified when I add their appointment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you manually add an appointment from the calendar, Taperfy automatically sends the client a confirmation. If they have a Taperfy account, they get an email and SMS. If you have their email on file but no account, they get an email with the booking details. If you only have their phone number, they get an SMS with a link to view and cancel their appointment without needing to create an account.

Can I block time off or mark days unavailable?

Yes. Go to Settings, then Availability, and add a blocked time override for the day you want to block. You can block the whole day or a specific time range. Clients will not be able to book during blocked periods.

Can clients cancel their own bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Clients with a Taperfy account can cancel from their My bookings page or the link in their confirmation email. Clients without an account who booked as a guest can cancel from the link in their confirmation email. Walk-in clients who only gave a phone number can cancel from the link sent in their SMS confirmation. In all cases, your cancellation policy determines whether they get a refund.

How do I add or edit services?

Go to Settings, then Services. Tap any service to edit the name, price, duration, deposit amount and description. Tap the + button to add a new service. Changes take effect immediately for new bookings.

Question 7

How do I set my working hours?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings, then Availability. Enable the days you work and set your start and end times. Clients can only book slots within your working hours. You can also add buffer time between appointments to give yourself a break.
